Sandy Dietrich, Ph.D., is global executive with over forty years of manufacturing experience, from design to manufacture to service. During much of Dr. Dietrich’s career, she was selected to create and lead large scale organizational change due to her ability to connect with individuals and develop key performance indicators. Dr. Dietrich has shown the unique ability to translate statistical data to both shop-floor and executive level personnel. Her experience spans large scale, high volume manufacturing with Ford Motor Company and its suppliers, to small scale, highly regulated medical devices with Terumo Cardiovascular Systems.

Dr. Dietrich’s doctoral dissertation research focused on a critical examination of the use of the TTI Performance DNA(TM) survey to determine the characteristics of entrepreneurially-minded engineers. This research was in cooperation with the Kern Family Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on creating a new generation of engineer, one who combines technical skills and business acumen. Dr. Dietrich used this tool in corporate leadership roles to develop teams and create more value-add departments, integrating the voice of the customer and personnel training plans.

As an educator, Dr. Dietrich taught Statistics to MBA students and was recognized as outstanding faculty at the University of Phoenix. She also served on the accreditation committee for the newly established Michigan-based campus. During her tenure, she also trained and developed new faculty as the program was growing. Her university experience translated into education and training skills in the corporate setting, leading health and safety and quality initiatives.

Throughout her career, Dr. Dietrich was a tireless advocate for women in engineering. She developed and participated in many different types of mentor programs. She has a certificate of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from the University of South Florida. She recently created an endowed scholarship for young women at her alma mater, Kettering University, where she serves on the Alumni Board of Directors. Dr. Dietrich joined Acumen Dynamics in 2020 after a long association and collaboration with its founder, Dr. David Pistrui. She is trained by TTI, International using the TTI performance tool in leadership development.
