Theo Theocharis

Theodore is a serial entrepreneur, and an international business and investment adviser with C-level experience in the food, technology and financial services sectors. Theo has expertise in the areas of corporate finance, M&A, venture capital, strategic development, and management, and has led or supported over 400 public and private SME and Start-up international transactions with a total value of over USD 3 billion. He is the Founder of Agoge Ventures (USA), a boutique organization specializing in investments, international business and management. He earned an MBA in International Business and Finance from The University of Michigan and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Athens.  He has lived and worked in the United States and in Europe, where, among other, he also served as Phare Coordinator in the Visegrads and as an adviser to privatization programs. Theo has co-founded Omnilink SA (Greece), a corporate finance and advisory boutique, where he also served as Managing Director Eastern Europe; Chios Fruits SA (Greece), a vertically integrated agro-industrial concern, where he has also served as CEO and Chairman; Simvalo LLC (USA), a technology venture builder; Mitra Sol Technologies S.L. (Spain) for the development of novel technologies, new processing, ingredients and formulations; a Wine Consortium acting also as its CEO; and other. He has served as a Partner with the Navigator Consulting Group (UK), as a Partner with and the acting international CEO of the Perichan Group (Spain), a leading agro-industrial concern in greenhouse cultivations and novelty vegetable-based products; two U.K based software houses; and other. Theo is advising Cyprus and the Eastern Partnership countries on strategy, policy and growth of their wine sector; and the E.U. on innovation as part of the early stage ecosystem. His personal interests include biodiversity, causes related to children, family law, education, poverty, youth, various sports and the arts. He is the co-founder of Hellenic Roots for the promotion of multi-level cultural and business ties between the diaspora and Greece, speaks five languages, and ran for Parliament in the 2012 Greek elections with the liberal party Drassi.
